Welcome to the Letford Insititute. Here, we house the mentally unsound, insane, unwell, and all kinds of addicts. There's a list of things that can get you into this place. A lot aren't here of their own free will. Some came just to get some help. There's a program you have to follow to get out of here, just like any other mental hospital. But, it's a long term program, don't expect to get out any time soon. There are steps 1 through 5. 1 is pretty easy. 5 is not so easy. And there are long trail periods to see if you maintain your good behavior.
Step 1) Admit you have a problem. Whatever that problem may be.
Step 2) Talk about your problem one-on-one with your therapist.
*Six week trial period*
Step 3) Talk about your problem in a group setting.
Step 4) Form a healthy relationship. (Which is always one of the hardest things to do when you're in a hospital with other sick people. It usually ends up being a healthy relationship with your mom or therapist.)
*Six week trial period*
Step 5) Test - This is where we put your new found health to the test. IF you can complete and maintain all of the other 4 steps, the Letford Insititute plays hard ball and sees how well you do in the real world by sending you home for one weekend. The catch is, they fill your home full of things that might trigger you into falling into your old habits. The test is different for every person. Good luck. Not many people make it past this test.
Once you've graduated, you are free to roam the city around these parts. You'll be shacked up in one of the houses or apartments around town. The Insititute will even help you find a job (if you are of age). You will be visited in your home enviornment once a week by one of our faculity members, just to see how your doing for the first year. If we notice you're having problems, we might consider taking you back into the program.
